Shoosmith Brothers Landfill - Chester, VA

Shoosmith Construction is performing all landfill closure activities, managing the active disposal area, and maintenance for the landfill. Closure activities include providing soils that meet project specifications,  placing intermediate and final cover. Maintenance activities include repairing erosion items, cleaning out sediment basins, repairing sediment basins, replacing/repairing storm piping, and installing slope down drains per the landfill permit requirements. Daily operation activities include managing the soil, sludge, and ash waste streams that continue to come into the landfill.
